Most of this article will be written with my toes in the sand! My family owned a beach house for 30 years with two other families. 2013 it was time to get bought out. We still keep in touch with the other two families, they were even invited to my wedding. We never felt it was the right time to ask for a weekend with the house. Now that my son is 3 months old, timing is perfect. I’m back in LBI for the week at the summer house I grew up going to. Was a little emotional walking in, so many things the same some different. It was a nostalgic overload.

One of my last summer’s here maybe 2011 or 2012 I was just starting to obsess over fantasy football. Jordan was and always will be my partner in crime. My first fantasy league was through a family friend of Jordan’s. Podcasts might have been a thing, I don’t know – but we went on camera in 2011 ish and uploaded a fantasy football preseason video. Man we had some good times in general down here in LBI. If I can find the video I’ll upload it! But man look at us young a dumb.

So yeah 0-3 week, so what! 30 minutes ago as I’m typing this I saw 50 dolphins so heck it! Come to think about it, you think those 50 dolphins could beat the Miami Dolphins in a football game? Or is it a sign to back Dolphins +13.5?! I’m searching! Needed to get that off week out of my system. Was shooting from the hip. But let me tell y’all, I’m in the lab right now, son sleeping, while I listen to the waves crash. My mind couldn’t be more free, and because of that you’ll want to back Goose and NOT #FadeTheKorner

Houston +7.5 at Texas Tech

Houston has looked the part and Texas Tech has not. Texas Tech has a quarterback issue, but with their schedule can very well still go 12-0. Still, I greatly respect Houston and think they are live Friday night. Houston is built off their run, which could play into TTech’s strength, but they are more complete than only a run team. Conner Weigman is now a senior and has a chance to lead Houston to new heights. Add in Tulane superstar RB Makai Hughes, and I think we have a recipe that will have Texas Tech praying they can keep them out the end zone enough. This is going to be an ugly one, and I’ll take the points

Bears -4.5 v Vikings

Vikings looked good but I’m not fully buying into them. They went on a 28-0 run to the end game, and a big part of that was the Vikings defense putting Love in a blender. I like Jordan Love! But Jordan Love doesn’t have a Ben Johnson designing plays. At the end of the day I don’t think Kyler or Carson Wentz can compete with this Bears O. The Bears D let the Panthers put up 37 but with a familiar divisional foe I think the coaching will prevail and make adjustments. This Bears O is legit.

Raiders +6.5 at Chargers

I love me Klint Kubiak. He had Ashton Jeanty looking like star he is! I think Jeanty is in for a HUGE year, and it’ll only get easier if and when Brock Bowers comes back. The Chargers have a big time OLine issue. Raiders DLine isn’t anything to boast about but they looked fierce vs a Dolphins team. Until the Chargers show they can block anyone I will be fading.

Giants +7.5 at Rams

I’ll overreact to week one. The Giants looked like Harbaugh’s Ravens teams. They are physical, and their run game is complex. The Rams will figure it out and be in the hunt as the season goes on, but they always were and will be a more finesse team especially on D. Give me this new looked Giants to hang around on Monday night.
