Rams vs Chargers Super Bowl +3225 (I have +4600)
Love me some Lions and Cowboys this year. The Rams will be hard to beat, the Seahawks are the defending champs, but watch out for Detroit and Dallas. The vibes feel off for the Eagles and the Niners, and the Bears are one talented bunch but they are the NFLs “hype team” which is usually bad news. Those three I wouldn’t be surprised with a down but a down year for the Eagles and Niners is still making the playoffs, just like a Wild Card team.
I think the Bills and Ravens will have great regular seasons. I’m having a hard time thinking who will represent the AFC in the Super Bowl, with those two normally faulting and now have rookie Head Coaches. The AFC West matchups will be must-watch television. The Raiders will be improved but a very difficult schedule. The Chiefs are the Chiefs till they are not the Chiefs. I do wonder if the Broncos year was last year, but they will remain in the hunt.
Ultimately I like an LA Super Bowl. The NFL Favorite rarely wins it feels like, but the Rams are so darn loaded. Stafford is older, but if he stays healthy they will be hard to beat. It’s now or never for “If Man” Justin Herbert. The offense is so multiple with a plethora of RBs WRs and TEs, and the OLine is improved form last season. Oh and they have an elite playcaller in Mike McDaniel. Both teams I see the red flags but both teams I think can and will be there in February.

Cal UCLA o53.5
Opening week Over’s feel like a trap especially here with two standout Quarterbacks and new coaches. Rutgers own Ian Strong goes to Cal this summer to be JKS’s alpha WR 1. Cal last year was picking up steam scoring 29+ points in four out oh their last six games. JKS has #1 overall potential in 2028 and I don’t see why they wouldn’t pick up where they left off. The wildcard is who is UCLA this season. JMU had one of the most high powered offenses in college last season, and Bob Chesney always done it with a dual threat QB. He heads to UCLA with Nico Iamaleava. Nico showed a more willingness to run last year, and the former 5star QB will look to leave his body on the line as he looks to become a Sunday player. This offense, especially OLine is greatly improved and it’s there for Nico to return to his last year at Tennessee form where the Vols made the playoffs. This game feels like a classic shootout both teams scoring in the 30s both quarterbacks taking control of the game.

SMU -3.5 at Florida State
Got a feeling this will be a mighty popular pick which is always scary. Florida State flat out struggled vs New Mexico State where it was 17-10 midway through the third quarter. Ashton Daniels is a 5th year QB who has 25 touchdowns to 23 interceptions, and I think Coach Mike Norvell is a dead man walking. There’s more to football teams than just quarterbacks but SMU’s Kevin Jennings ROCKS and threw for more touchdown passes last year than Daniels’ whole career. SMU went 9-4 last year and their fans should be disappointed, because like last year this year has legit playoff asperations. This is a conference matchup and if SMU drops one here they can already start thinking about a Holiday Bowl instead. FSU is 8-18 their last 26 with weak O and D line’s and I just don’t see them competing vs these top ACC teams.
