Cal +1.5 v Hawaii

Cal vibes are high! The Golden Bears hired a new coach and their all world QB will be staying! He is a Hawaiian, and has said let’s make Cal “Polynesian U.” He is slated to play Wednesday and I think he shows out and rallies his team in a big way. Bowl games have lost significance over the years, but Cal is going to want this one. This is a good Cal team too, who went 2-1 to end the year including 2 ranked wins, at Louisville and vs SMU. Hawaii is no slouch, going 6-1+98 at home, but throw that out for Bowl week as teams have extra time to prepare, extra time to fly in and adjust, and BOTH teams have extra time for distractions. This game can be a spring board for Cal who if they did hire the right coach he could be walking into a contender in a weak ACC next year. Lead us to glory JKS.  

Colts +6.5 v Jaguars

** This is only a bet IF the Chargers beat the Texans Saturday. I’m writing it on Tuesday and its Christmas week! **

Alright so I kinda doubted the Jaguars this last week. I had a BLAST watching and being wrong! So why am I backing Philip Rivers this week? A lot of it has to do with emotions. The Jaguars are sipping some kool aid, and again I absolutely love it. They just clinched a playoff spot, but still have a division to win. I just think on the road, v a divisional foe, they could struggle for 60 minutes but will squeak out a win. I think the Colts punch first, similar to Monday night v the Niners. Rivers will keep this team motivated and the coaching staff will throw it all in the kitchen sink.
