Year Seven! Time really does fly. Way back on September 12, 2018, in The Journey Begins, I said:
“The objective of this blog series is to keep myself entertained. I expect to get 5 views a post. If this catches on a little, well sweet, and if it doesn’t, at least I got to type my thoughts. Please feel free to call me out, criticize, or complement! All feedback is welcomed and needed.”
And I mean that, all feedback is welcomed and needed. Whether it’s grammar or substance, I am constantly looking to improve my craft.
This will also be my fifth edition of Fantasy Football content. Last year I joined four money leagues. While I did not win a Championship, I put myself in position. In the league I commission, my Rahway league, I was the #1 overall seed and lost in the Finals where I scored more than my season average but got beat by a better streaky team. In my Rutgers league I took the #2 seed but lost in the Semi-Finals to the eventual Champ, still won my 3rd place game! My Father, the Professor, and I split two teams in both Butch Kowal’s leagues. In the bigger money league we took the 1 seed but lost in the Finals. This league gives a good bonus to the #1 seed so while it was a bummer to not bring home the trophy, the pockets enjoyed the league last season. In the other league we limped to a 3 seed and lost in the first round of the playoffs. We lost to my brother which stung, but he has the most Championships in that league. Another bummer but injuries happen and you have to fight your best way through it.
Two 1seeds, a 2seed, and a 3seed. Two 2nds, a third, and a fifth. Maybe it’s not Mamba Mentality, but all I can do is put my name in the ring for the playoffs. This game we love called Fantasy Football has so much variance that over a 14 week regular season you can show skills by stacking wins because things average out. You can have the strongest team all season and your star running back gets tackled at the 1 yard line, and their defense gets 2 defensive touchdowns, and your wide receiver gets held in a pass interference negating a 60 yard touchdown. If these things happen in the wrong weeks, your season is over. So don’t beat yourself up on championships and keep putting yourself in position.

Winning a Championship is 25% skill and 75% luck.
Here I’ll give you my insight to get you all to the Fantasy playoffs. I hope you all get lucky in the end, but let’s get there first. I’ll state it in every rankings post but please know your league rules! I will be going off a half point PPR, 6 points all touchdowns, 10 yards a point receiving and rushing and 25 yards a point throwing.
