Thursday night I will be at Metlife Stadium cheering on the Jags as they face the Jets! The weather is going to be a factor but that won’t stop me! They say it’ll be about 50 degrees but there will be plenty of rain and wind. And I don’t know what it is about Metlife Stadium but that wind swirls in there! I won’t make the Jags a Korner play because I am optimistic but not too hopeful for the game. This is a short week, on the road, in some nasty elements, vs one of the premiere defense’s in the League. Travis Etienne has had a fumbling problem in the past few weeks but he’ll be my x-factor. It’ll be hard for both teams to pass the ball down the field so ETN should get plenty of work. He’ll need 100+ yards to have the Jags control the clock and squeak out a victory. The Jags will be without Cam Robinson but this is Walker Little’s moment. Control the blindside and help make holes for ETN. I am not high on the Jaguars defense but it’s Zack Wilson in that same rain and wind that Trevor Lawrence will have to deal with so I think the Jags D won’t give up many points. Here’s the playoff push!

Browns -2.5 v Saints
Speaking of weather, Cleveland is going to be gross on Saturday. We’re talking below freezing temperatures with 25 mph winds, gusts even higher. I want the best running back in the league for this game. Give me Nick Chubb, give me some Kareem Hunt, and give me a mobile Deshaun Watson. The dome’d Saints do have Alvin Kamara and swiss army knife Taysom Hill, but with these conditions I don’t want current Andy Dalton leading me out there.The Saints have a good pass defense but this run defense ain’t it. It’ll probably be easier for the Saints to key in on a run play because of the weather but Nick Chubb should have every opportunity to run for 150+ yards. With the total being so low around 33 points, this 2.5 spread is large, but I think the Browns get enough on the ground.

Eagles +4.5 at Cowboys
Gardner Minshew can throw a football. He’s very accurate and has starter experience. This Eagles team is loaded and Dallas Goedert should be returning. Minshew just has to not turn it over and let AJ Brown, Devonta Smith, and co. eat. The Cowboys aren’t peaking and playing a 13-1 Eagles team isn’t the best thing for them. They have been too focused on this game and it’s almost been an obsession. Micah Parsons is throwing shots at Jalen Hurts, and the Cowboys have looked over the Texans AND the Jaguars for this game. For the Eagles, it’s just 1 of 17. The Cowboys will win the 1st quarter as they ride this emotion, but the Eagles attack will be too much for this Dallas defense. Part of me likes the Cowboys as a whole, but it’s hard to trust a weak minded team in big spots. For that reason, I’m riding with Minshew.
