The Play: Bears +1
You can cap stats all you want – the one thing we cannot cap is emotions, and frankly a lot of this play is off of gut and assumptions. How can the Commies rally tonight after their coach said they are losing because of “quarterback.” This team’s playoff aspirations are toast, the locker room has to be divided, and I don’t really see a strong emotional leader able to piece it together. And on top of that – their horrible owner has “dirt on other NFL owners” and he said “the NFL can’t touch me.” Now I don’t know if that last part has any impact on the players but they have a dark cloud over them. I look at last week’s Commies game as a preview of this one. The Commies struggled to run it on the Titans – Commies Dyami Brown got loose for a 75 yard bomb tuddy – Carson Wentz had three fumbles but recovered them all showing how susceptible he is to turnovers – and the Titans just played conservative pounding the rock and having Tannehill go 15/25. You let Washington beat themselves and that’s kind of how the Bears have been playing. Give the ball to Montgomery and Herbert, let Fields then make the few plays, and capitalize on mistakes.

Might be square of me to fade a third string quarterback, especially with the Patriots and Bailey Zappe not missing a step – but write-up to come closer to kick off to fade Skylar Thompson if he’s starting.
