Woot Woot! We went 2-0 to start the year 🙂 Saturday I will be watching no football as it’s my lovely Fiancé’s birthday, BUT, that doesn’t mean I didn’t have time to check out some lines this week! And then Sunday its back to Butch’s for a 1pm-730pm shift watching the main slate! I have to give a viewing hot take because we have two Monday Night Football games. Remember I’m an East Coaster so like the normal night games start pretty late as it is. We need three weeks where there’s a 7pm and a 10pm kickoff so the West Coast can experience some night games. It doesn’t have to be every week because that would really kill my sleep schedule but I’m down to stay up late a few weeks to share the experience!

Oklahoma -10.5 at Nebraska o/u 66.5
The Play: Oklahoma -10.5

Last year after a college coach was fired, the team went 6-6 ATS in its first game with an interim. I wish I could find a larger sample size but I’m not scared off by the “back Nebraska only cause the coach is fired” narrative. When I look at this game I see 15 mph wind throughout. I see Nebraska wants to run the ball but I like Oklahoma’s run defense to slow the attack down. 15 mph is good wind and I think it’ll be hard for Nebraska to throw it when they need to. Nebraska’s defense is so swiss cheese that I think Oklahoma will score at will. They let Northwestern put up 31 and Georgia Southern put up 45. Oklahoma’s top three running backs through two games have ran the ball 51 times for 311 yards which is 6.1 yards per carry! Nebraska might be up for the game for the 1st quarter but this Oklahoma offense should wear out their spirits and rack up points.
Oklahoma 38 Nebraska 21

Notre Dame -10.5 vs Cal o/u 40.5
The Play: Notre Dame -10.5

Last week I highlighted Notre Dame’s struggling offense as I backed the under in ND vs Marshall. I did not envision Marshall coming away victorious but I did feel it would be a grind. Marshall is a lot tougher of an opponent than Cal in my opinion. Cal narrowly escaped playing a down UNLV team and were only able to muster up 20 points. Despite Notre Dame’s offensive struggles, their defense should hold Cal to single digit points. New Irish QB Drew Pyne is a vertical risk taker. He will push the ball downfield and let the ND athletes make plays. That, in combination with bruiser Audric Estime, will get Notre Dame back on track. It helps that the Cal defense was abysmal on 3rd down last season. They allowed UC Davis to go 7-18 on 3rd down week 1, but did improve vs UNLV holding them to 1-12. I’ll take the 2021 and UC Davis version of Cal’s defense to show up though.
Notre Dame 27 Cal 7

Giants -2 vs Panthers o/u 43.5
The Play: Giants
-1.5
I am a strong believer that Saquon Barkley is back to his rookie form. I am a strong believer in Coach Daboll and both of his coordinators, especially DC Wink Martindale. I am not a believer in Daniel Jones. But that’s okay because I like what’s around him and on the other team is Baker Mayfield a quarterback I’m very out on. This is a “box score scouting stat” but Baker fumbled the ball four times last week. All of them the team recovered but it sounds like the ball was loose. He also threw an interception because he is a walking turnover and cannot take care of the ball. And did y’all see how the Browns ran all over the Panthers last week? Nick Chubb rushed for 141 yards on 22 carries and Kareem Hunt rushed for 46 yards on 11 carries and had 2 touchdowns! Saquon will eat this Sunday and that will make life a lot easier for Dimes. This is the first time the Giants have been above .500 since 2016 so you know the crowd will be as passionate as can be with something to root for also. Oh and if the Giants aggressive defense can hold King Henry to 82 yards on 21 carries, why can’t they neutralize Christian McCaffrey. ALEXA … Play New York Groove.
Giants 24 Panthers 18
