Wasn’t the best week but you can’t win them all! I have three games this week, so I’m going to just dive in to it to save time! Some Thursday’s just creep up too fast on me!!!

Marshall +7 at Appalachian State O/U 59. Thursday 7:30pm
The Play: Under 59.5

These two teams were very stout on defense last year, and both are in a more up-tempo transition. Marshall is a team that has really popped off in the box scores, as they are 3-0 to the over! But when you look at their opponents of Navy, NC Central, and East Carolina, that isn’t saying much. Marshall has yet to face a team comparable to Appalachian State, as these two are fairly equally matched. Marshall’s turnover issue was masked by the weaker competition opponents they were facing, and Appalachian State has a nose for the ball. App St is hard to crack as they forced Miami to kick three field goals. The Under I believe will be won when App St both catches an interception, and makes Marshall kick a few extra field goals. While both offenses are strong, they are now facing two strong defenses.

Missouri -2 at Boston College O/U 59. Saturday 12pm
The Play: Missouri -2
UGH! I was high on this Boston College team, but then their quarterback went out for the year. Dennis Grosel hasn’t looked like a good replacement so far, and I feel their season can soon be derailed. It helps that BC will be home for this matchup, but they’ll need a lot to overcome the QB play. Mizzou is just a very solid team. They run the ball well, pass it well, have a good defensive line, but a very suspect secondary. I’m willing to overlook that because the BC quarterback couldn’t really move the ball versus Temple. BC hasn’t faced an above average quarterback yet, and their quarterback looks anything but seasoned. I also have an eye on the Under, but feel Missouri is the right side to be on.

Eagles +4 at Dallas O/U 51.5
The Play: Cowboys -4
How bout them Cowboys! Two weeks in a row they really impressed me, barely losing to the Bucs and then going to LA and defeating the Chargers. The Cowboys got on track running the ball better, more so with Pollard, though Zeke was still efficient. The Eagles can stop the run, as they handled the Niners rushing attack fairly well. Still, it’s the Cowboys balance that gets me. The Cowboys have three stud receivers and a great running back duo. It is hard to key in on the run because Dak can shred just about anybody. I’ve been impressed with the Eagles but still don’t fear their pass catchers. The Cowboys defense isn’t stout, but Trevon Diggs is really starting to emerge as a great cornerback. This game should be close for a while, especially being a primetime division game, but I see Dak pulling away late. This Cowboys offense is too potent.
Cowboys 31 Eagles 20
