NCAAF YTD 8-9
The last two weeks have only been tweeted out plays. We got a couple weeks left and I’m negative in both NFL and NCAAF. The tide turns NOW!
Texas A&M -14 at Tennessee
Cincinnati -14 vs Tulsa
Both of these picks have a similar angle. Both are on the outside looking in for the College Football Playoffs. Both have one final chance to make an impact on voters, and i think both make it count. Here’s why.
Texas A&M – This team is so complete and maybe the 2nd best team in the Nation. They got creamed by Alabama, but so does everyone, and the week after they beat Flordia. They have a monster DLine which i think is the key to this game. Tennessee has a limited pass game and a strong DLine will make this weakness even weaker. On offense, Kellen Mond has been up and down, but he isnt turning the ball over. On his bad games he still isnt throwing interceptions, he’s just not taking risks. Tennessee just doesnt have the strong front to slow down this run attack. Texas A&M’s run game carries the offense so if Mond makes some throws, this will get ugly quick. Tennessee is a dead team playing a team as hungry as anyone out there. (Notre Dame Coach Brian Kelly just made a statement questioning if they will play in the Playoffs, or let the kids go home for Christmas. They WILL play in the playoffs, but this has to light up A&M’s ears to go from 5th to invited.)
A&M 31 Tennessee 14
Cincinnati – This offense can pop! Cinci has some interesting pieces with their dual threat QB, throwing for 16 and rushing for 11, and have a big time Tight End! Big time TE’s are even more deadly in college because their mismatch is magnified. Josh Whyle should have a day! Last game vs UCF he had 5 catches for 80 yards and a TD, i look for something similar. Tulsa has a strong defense, which got them to the AAC Championship Game. I dont think they can play 48 minutes though with this Cinci tempo and explosion. Tulsa has nothing to lose, but what will hurt them is the disrespect for Cinci by the ranking committee. Cince dropped to 9th because they havent played in now 3 weeks from covid, and their chance to make the playoffs is pretty shot. It was always going to be tough, but their ranking should be 6th maybe 7th, not 9th. They have something to prove, and what better time than 8pm Saturday night!
Cinci 37 Tulsa 17
Jaguars Ravens Over 47.5 AND Jaguars +13 – Minshew is back! The Jaguars might be the best 1-12 team ever … After their bye week 8, Loss to Texans by 2, Loss to Pack by 4, Loss to Steelers by 24, Loss to Browns by 2, Loss to Vikings by 3 and just got blown out by the Titans. They are perfectly tanking, losing close games. With Minshew they win 2 of them. He’s back and ready to get this offense going strong again. The defense is still atrocious, but theyll score with the Ravens. 13 points is at least 3 too much, and this will be a single digit game. James Robinson, DJ Chark, Keelan Cole, GARDNER MINSHEW! This is allllll about the Jags O, they put up 3 TDs and this double play is in the bag.
Ravens 31 Jaguars 21
