Round 10

A Masters in November, life is good! I’m locked in on Augusta this week but was able to do my research before the tourney started. I went with Tony Finau and Patrick Cantlay to win it, but as I’m typing this out around 10am on Friday, Dustin Johnson looks in control and will be hard to beat. I like to play Saturday “moving day” matchups but with the rain delay on Thursday, and the schedule being a little wacky, I’m not sure if I’ll see a spot. as always, keep an eye on Twitter @KowalsKorner !

Rutgers has its most important football game since 2014? 2015? The dark years then followed, but Schiano has brought life to the program! Rutgers is … favored to win a Big Ten game! They host Illinois where RU is -6.5. They NEED to win for a confidence game. They would even up at 2-2 and get themselves out of the Big Ten basement. This team reminds me of the early Pikiell gritty days! Illinois is more of a running team so Michael Dwumfour will need to continue to shine. If he plays well, Rutgers run defense should hold stout. Rutgers will need to create turnovers again and continue to win the Special Teams battle. They do not have the most efficient offense so they need to chop in other areas. Seems like Noah Vedral lost confidence in the middle of the Indiana game, so the goal will be to keep him upbeat. Rutgers will win this game if the Team plays their game, and doesn’t press to match expectations.

Recap
Clemson -5 at Notre Dame – Miss. Notre Dame 47 Clemson 40
Falcons -4.5 vs Broncos – HIT! Falcons 34 Broncos 27
Cardinals Dolphins Over 49 – HIT! Dolphins 34 Cardinals 31
NFL YTD 12-13
NCAAF YTD 4-7

Florida -17 vs Arkansas – Arkansas is now 6-0 ATS led by Feleipe Franks! Franks was a Quarterback transfer from … Florida! This is a revenge spot if you ask me where Florida will want to pounce on Ark. Not counting the Ole Miss game for Arkansas, Franks has thrown for 10 touchdowns and 0 interceptions. Thats some great play but I could see Franks playing more like the Ole Miss game, 1 td and 1 interception. With Florida beating Georgia last week, Florida has a path to the College Football Playoffs. This means Florida will have to impress the committee for the rest of the season and leapfrog some teams. 17 is a lot but I’m chompin with the Gators!
Florida 41 Arkansas 21

Raiders Broncos Under 51– The Raiders play slowww. They run the ball and control it and let their defense rest. The Broncos offense is very spotty and Drew Lock hasnt been the sharpest. I look for the Raiders to dominate the time of possession and win an ugly one vs a divisional foe.
Raiders 23 Broncos 20

Seahawks +2 at Rams – I’m weak on the Rams. Their wins are against the NFC Least and the Bears. They will host the Seahawks who just came off a loss at the Bills and will be looking to bounce back. The Seahawks pass defense is weak but playing a familiar division foe i feel should help. Jalen Ramsey and Aaron Donald can only do so much and i think the Seahawks will crack the Rams shell just one too many times!
Seahawks 28 Rams 27

Bears +2.5 vs Vikings – The Vikings seem to have turn the corner but will it continue? The most played out stat is Kirk Cousins can’t cover in Primetime. I’ll go to the well for this one and fade the hot team. Bears playcalling is rough and I really don’t want to back a college OC in Nagy but here we go! The Vikings shouldn’t be able to move the ball too easily as the Bears defense is stout. The Bears end their three game skid Monday night!
Bears 21 Vikings 20

Thank you,
Goose
