Round 3

Week 3 here we come!
We havent been off to the start we like, but it could be worse. The Korner sits at 3-3 on the year. This week, we’ll have our three picks, we’ll have some college football leans, and we’ll get back to our 1pm on Daily Fantasy Lineup!

Recap
Giants +5.5 at Bears – HIT! Bears 17 Giants 13
Jets Niners Under 42 – Miss. Niners 31 Jets 13.
Eagles pk vs Rams – Miss. Rams 37 Eagles 19
1-2 last week 3-3 2020

College Football Special
South Carolina +3.5 vs Tennessee – This matchup comes to the Quarterbacks for me. South Carolina will start a Grag transfer from Colorado State, Collin Hill. He was a prior captain and came in and won this job. Tennessee’s Jarrett Guarantano on the other hand, has been around the block and I am not too confident in the Senior. The QB is turnover prone, lacks a dynamic receiver, and his middle name is inconsistency. I can get burned if he puts out week 1, but I’ll say he’ll be too up and down for the opener.
SC 24 Tenn 23

Cowboys +5 at Seahawks – How bout them Cowboys! Okay, they won but didn’t cover last week. This week, I love them! Their offense is so dynamic that even if they are down they can back-door cover. Seattle’s pass defense isn’t what it used to be. They now rely on Russell Wilson. Dak should have another baller night. I also don’t expect the Cowboys should lose 3 fumbles this game. Which tells me they should have taken care of business vs Atlanta. I just think Wilson slightly comes back to Earth. 9 touchdowns in 2 games, with the second lowest average target depth screams a little luck to me. The Seahawks are still my Super Bowl pick, but this is going to be a close one.
Seahawks 30 Cowboys 27

Panthers +6.5 at Chargers – Justin Herbert looked decent playing the Chiefs, but I am not sold on him yet. The Panthers defense is bottom five in the league, since they don’t have much of a rush and don’t create turnovers. But I don’t think the Chargers can blow anyone away. I also think it’ll be hard to get to Bridgewater, harder than it was to get to Mahomes. Mahomes lets plays develop and makes amazing throws. The Panthers are a quick hitting offense, and get the ball out on three step drops. This should somewhat negate the Chargers amazing pass rush. Yes, there is no McCaf in this game, but Mike Davis looked good with his 8 catches vs the Bucs. I just don’t see the Chargers blowing anyone out.
Chargers 25 Panthers 21

Lions +5.5 at Cardinals – The Cardinals have looked great through two weeks. The Lions are 0-2 and 0-2 ATS but I still don’t think they looked bad. They were up 23-6 vs the Bears and 14-3 at the Packers. They get these early leads then collapse. The return of Kenny Golladay should help make this offense more complete, with their running back stable, Hockenson and Marvin Jones. I think the Lions can score with the Cardinals. I am also still concerned with the Cardinals Red Zone offense. Kyler is a special talent, but his 15 yard scrambles for touchdowns don’t feel sustainable. He has two passing touchdowns and two interceptions through two games, and I just feel they aren’t as dominant as it looks. They still win, but the Lions offense feels ready to unleash.
Cardinals 31 Lions 30

Sunday’s 1pm only DraftKings DFS Lineup $dkng
QB Matt Ryan $6600
RB Dalvin Cook $7600
RB Joe Mixon $5900
WR Calvin Ridley $7200
WR Desean Jackson $5200
WR Darius Slayton $4900
TE Hayden Hurst $4700
Flex Jerrick Mckinnon $4900
Defense NY Giants $2700

This is an ugly lineup but I think it can get some legs. I have 3 slots in the Giants 49ers game. Slayton has been the go-to guy for Jones, and I am going Giants defense on a value play versus Mullens. I also will give Jerrick Mckinnon a go. He was their pricey free agent signing three off seasons ago. After two knee injuries, this is his shot and his time. With no Mostert or Coleman, the back field is his. I’ll stack Matt Ryan with Calvin Ridley and Hayden Hurst. Even if Julio goes, he won’t be 100% so I’m fading him while targeting the Falcons. My two running backs are due for a breakout. Cook and Mixon have average match-ups. James Robinson just ran all over Tenneseee, and the Eagles run defense hasn’t done much. Finish it out with home run hitter Desean Jackson, and we got a lineup! Best of luck, y’all!

Thank you,
Goose
