49ers -7 vs Vikings – UGH. I mess with Dal Cook and the Vikings. But the 49ers run defense is different compared to the Saints. The 49ers are built to beat the Vikings. Tough nosed football, the 49ers wont get roughed up in their battles. The gamechanger here wont be Dal Cook, but itll be George Kittle. He is a matchup nightmare and will give defenses headaches. I also expect the 49ers running backs to have a great day, especially in the passing game. I am not afraid to test the Vikings linebackers as you can see. I see Kittle and Mostart/Coleman as a harder task than Mike Thomas and the Saints offense. While the Saints are way more talented, the 49ers are unique in the fact that their receivers are weakfish but their pass offense is steady. These key players will help make third downs much more easier on Saturday for the 49ers. Onward to the NFCCG! 49ers 25 Vikings 17
Titans +9.5 at Ravens – I have low confidence in this one. But I am siding with the Titans for a few reasons. I trust them to eat the clock. I don’t know how many points they will score but I trust them to keep the clock moving either with the dominant Derrick Henry or the accurate Tannehill. Coach Vrabel is growing on me a little. I think he is a great motivator and takes pride in his defense. There really has been no way to slow down Lamar Jackson this season, but I believe Vrabel will at least have his team gap disciplined. I just like the playmakers and speed of the Titans defense to put up a fight. Baltimore is rolling, this team is looking crisp and elite. I think they win this one, but I think the Titans will come with heart. Ravens 24 Titans 17
Chiefs -10 vs Texans – The Chiefs being a 10 point favorite is a lotttttt. But the Chiefs have the better coach in this matchup, by a long shot. Watson is a baller and elite, but this team has weird flow. Fuller might be able to play, but the Chiefs actually have a good secondary now. The Chiefs have won six in a row and are peaking when it matters, not like when the Texans beat the Chiefs in Kansas City week 6. This is “week 19” now and a lot has changed, and Damien Williams is healthy for the Chiefs. We know their pass game is elite, but adding a run game to the mix I feel they cant be stopped. The Texans are one of eight teams remaining, don’t get me wrong they are good, but I think this is #1 vs #8. Buckle up! Chiefs 34 Texans 21
Packers -4.5 vs Seahawks – the Packers are peaking as well, and I love form when it comes to the postseason. Aaron Rodgers and the Pack started off with their defense leading the way, but now after a full regular season, the Pack look more comfortable under Coach LaFleur. Marshawn Lynch was a flashy signing, but you can tell he isn’t fully ready to return. That’s not a diss, the guy was out for 14 months, but this Homer guy is playing a lot and not making much noise. The Pack should have a day on defense with Seattle’s lack of run game. The Pack have elite pass rushers and they should be able to pull their ears back and rush! I am worried that the Pack are one receiver short, but Aaron Rodgers makes things happen. I expect the Pack to come out slow as usual and then in the second half ramp it up! Packers 27 Seahawks 21
Clemson +6 at LSU – I wont bet against Clemson until they lose. This team has a chance to win three out four national championships and become a dynasty. Trevor Lawrence is the better quarterback in this matchup, despite the amazing season Burrow is having. I need these Clemson recievers to be healthy. Having two weeks off surely has to help. When you have Tee Higgins and Justyn Ross running routes and the explosive Etiene running the rock, you are just hard to beat. I tried to talk up the Clemson defensive backs against Ohio State, and boy those Ohio State recievers made Clemson look silly at times! No better time to bounce back then on the national stage. Clemson had a different team last year, but not many people gave them a shot against Alabama. Bama started hot before losing 44-16. I don’t see that, but I know Clemson is resilient and up for any challenge. Clemson 36 LSU 35
Thank you,
Goose
