Another week goes by and my laptop has no progress. Despite the elements working against me, I won’t back down! The Korner went an impressive 5-1 last week while looking adversity in the face saying “I got this.”
It was just a great weekend overall. I was able to spend it in Cleveland visiting one of my best high school buddies! We got to catch up and have lots of laughs! We also went to the Bills Browns game Sunday. Seeing Dawkins lose a close one wasnt ideal, but wow is that crowd wild in Cleveland. I was scared. I sat in the “Dawg Pound” without realizing it and was surrounded but fanatics! The Korner will be doing a Thursday Night Special this week. I have a NCAAF game and an NFL game I like. I’ll just drop these two right now and will finish the rest of my article Thursday night. Lets ride!!

NCAAF 17-15-1
NFL 19-11
Buffalo -6 at Kent State – I’m riding with the public here. Buffalo is hot winning it’s last 3 by an average of 24 points. They have flipped a switch lately and that’s thanks to new Quarterback Kyle Vantrease. He has added stability to the team and they’ve limited turnovers. 1000 yard rusher Jaret Patterson will still get plenty of carries to shine. I just see this team peaking and think they will go to Kent State and leave with an easy win. Mid Week MAC play really is no guarantee but give me the Bulls laying 6. Buffalo 31 Kent State 23
Browns -3 vs Steelers – okay I’m 1-2 picking Steelers games this year and lost last week. Lets even up! I really liked what I saw last week from Cleveland. The game shouldn’t have been that close but the Browns were very inefficient in the red zone. I expect this to not be as bad despite the Steelers having a great defense. Kareem Hunt adds another weapon to this team and makes them feeling dangerous! That 20 personnel with Hunt and Chubb in the backfield and with Juice and ODell spread out is something they need to stick to. Spread Pittsburgh out and finish when you get in the Red Zone. Browns 23 Steelers 18
Well, it was a rough 1 and 1 last night. Buffalo had a great lead in their game of 24-6 to start the fourth quarter! But … they lost 30-27. Are you serious Buffalo, go home with that L! The Browns win was a big win for the Korner but Myles Garrett c’mon dude. Got to suspend him for the year and now I wont bet on the Browns for the rest of the season without him. Either way, onward to four more games!
Auburn +2.5 vs Georgia – stop with this Utah St v Fresno stuff, Goose. Give the people what they want. This right here is a football game. For Auburn to defeat Georgia they will need to play big boy football. Auburn has the advantage in both the trenches and should control this game. The Georgia defense is elite but more elite in the passing game then run game. Auburn led by Freshman QB Bo Nix will have to be patient and let his athletes make plays. This right here is must watch football. Auburn 21 Georgia 20
Ohio State -52 … at Rutgers – I’m gonna do it. Once I replace my hard drive I’ll get the pod about Fixing RU Football. But till then they are broken. They just need to score once to cover in my opinion, but I just don’t see it Saturday. Better days are ahead, but Justin Fields and the gang should walk over RU. They know this is like a walk threw, and will be crisp to the point. Is it bad that Ohio State probably plays a tougher defense in the Ohio State scout D, then it will against RU? Please cover RU put up a fight, but for the Korner and for the record, Ohio State should dominate. Ohio State 56 Rutgers 0
Bucs +5.5 vs Saints – I still think the Saints are the best team in the NFC, and will win on Sunday, but I like the points with an urgent divisional foe. The Bucs offense is becoming more balanced and this should help them in the long run. They are far from short on weapons, but fail in execution. First half star Chris Godwin will need to step up and have another 100 yard game. I trust the Bucs being able to limit Kamara, make Brees throw, and get a late touchdown to cover. Saints 31 Bucs 27
Texans +4 at Ravens – Lamar Jackson may very well be the MVP, and thanks to him I’m doing great in Fantasy Football! But Deshaun Watson is really that dude. I truly think he’s a top3 quarterback in the NFL. He’s accurate, he’s mobile but most importantly he’s a LEADER. We deserve this matchup in the playoffs, but I’m thrilled to have it in the regular season. I expect Watson to find Hopkins early, and target Marcus Peters. Peters has been good on the Ravens but has a short fuse. Let the best receiver eat early on Peters and let the emotions pour out. The Texans won’t have Watt and traded Clowney, so Lamar might go loose, but ultimately this is Texans game. The Ravens are riding higher then anyone in the league, and it’s time for that bird to come back down to earth. Texans 28 Ravens 27
Thank you,
Goose
