Week 10

Welp! The laptop broke down on me again. Who woulda guessed my 2010 MacBook would give me troubles! Its only nine years old! First it was my RAM, which fixed itself but now I think I need to replace the hard drive. Thankfully I live with Geek Squad! Had to do most, if not all of the Korner on my phone, so no podcast again :/ I’ll fix the laptop or borrow one next week! Got to tell y’all about Rutgers Football, and some Mid Major’s to watch in NCAA Basketball!

Oh and good luck Rahway Friday night 6pm in the first round of the playoffs! #2 Rahway hosts #7 Garfield!

Tulsa +16.5 vs UCF – *Friday Night Lights* Tulsa is 0-5 in the American but 3-2 ATS! I wrote this two weeks ago, but there now record of opponents faced in the American is a wild 20-5! Well … they face 7-2 (4-1) UCF. I really can’t believe how wild their schedule has been! But lets talk about the game. What is UCF? They lost their two tough ones in Pitt and Cinni, and beat a decent Temple, but they only beat cupcakes outside of that? I really don’t think Tulsa is a cupcake despite the 0-5 in conference. They have a balanced offense but don’t create too many turnovers on defense. If UCF’s Freshman QB shows some sign of youth, and if the team is distracted with their coach maybe going to FSU, Tulsa should cover this one. UCF 41 Tulsa 30

Utah State +6 at Fresno State – Utah State’s offense has been non-existent the last two weeks. They had eight punts versus Air Force and five turnovers versus BYU! I am banking on this being an anomaly and not a trend. They are too explosive for this and QB Jordan Love is too talented to have his team do this. Fresno can score itself, and this should be a classic shootout in the Mountain West! This has Jordan Love breakout game written all over it! Utah State 35 Fresno State 34

Clemson -32 at NC State – Besides the 1 point scare to UNC, Clemson is 5-0 ATS in the ACC. I see that streak continuing as they take on a struggling NC State team. Losers of three of their last four, they have a combined deficit of 63-130 to teams combined 9-13 in the ACC. Yikes. All will work out, and if Clemson wins out they will 100% be in the playoffs, but I am hoping to see some urgency after being ranked #5 by the Playoff Committee. Lets see the fire! Clemson 45 NC State 10

Packers -5 vs Panthers – The Packers are a top three team in the NFC, but just forgot how to play last week. I feel their loss to the Chargers has this line chilling at -5 instead of -7. The Panthers have been a good team thanks to Kyle Allen, and now with Cam on the IR, its Allen’s job. Despite that, I like the Packers defense to play a nice contain on the Panthers. Look for the Pack to force field goals while Aaron Rodgers links up with Davante Adams. This offense should roll as they get reaccelemated with each other. Packers 28 Panthers 21

Vikings +3 at Cowboys – I heard a stat on the Michael Kay show when RJ Bell came on. I cant find it anywhere but it was something like Kirk Cousins is 60% ATS at 1pm games, and 35% in non 1pm games. I heard this right before the Vikings beat the Redskins, but they failed to cover so that 35% is probably at 34% now! And yet, I’m backing the Vikings Sunday night! I just love this teams makeup and it all starts with Dalvin Cook. This elite RB should be in the MVP race standing around 5th. He gets 100 yards a game and makes life easier for Cousins. I look for a low scorer where the Vikings squeak this one out. Vikings 21 Cowboys 20

Rams -3.5 at Steelers – Thankfully they made this a 4:25 game since we are dealing with West Coast Rams. The Steelers have won three in a row and have risen from the ashes. But lets not get too ahead of ourselves. Its definitely impressive going to LA and beating the chargers and beating the Colts … and they also beaten the Dolphins. But I’m stubborn and can’t buy in to Mason Rudolph. We also won’t have James Connor for the Steelers again but that didn’t hurt them last week. But the Rams are coming off a bye week, and since the Ramsey trade they are 2-0 and 2-0 ATS. This team has life and needs to keep winning. They are third in their own division and sitting right outside the playoffs. Lets see a locked in Rams. Rams 27 Steelers 21

Thank you,
Goose
