Week 3

April 23, 2016. I was a young Goose at Rutgers, working for their football team. I met some GREAT people that were equipment managers with me, and I end up living with seven of them in a span of two leases. Being huge football fans, we watched the draft for 2016! I was with an Eagles fan, a Cowboys fan, myself a Jaguars fan, just to name a couple of us. Our Eagles fan expected Wentz, and he was happy about their selection. Our Cowboys buddy wanted Zeke, but wasn’t sure if they would go Ramsey or Zeke. When the pick came in he jumped for joy. Me? I wanted Jalen Ramsey. I really didn’t watch him in college. I knew he played at FSU, was a dog, was a lockdown defender and was the best DBack in the class. Thankfully, my friend captured this moment and I will always have it. I captured it too but … yeah that one is lost! *Yes thats an RGIII Jersey – its called style*

It was hard being a Jags fan before this, and it will be hard again as long as Coughlin runs the show. There was and will be no hope. I had Ramsey though. I could always tell my friends he will lock down your best receiver. I was able to be him, and talk that talk. 2016 his rookie year was rough again. They were still losing but he balled out. A week before the 2017 season I was talking to my now housemate the Birdman. I told him things like “bro why am I even a Jags fan. I might as well support local. There is no reason for me to just chill I might as well jump ship. We are ALWAYS losing like I don’t care if I get made fun of jumping ship cause this is dumb.” Bird told me one more year. Just stick it out one more year. Thank you Bird, cause 2017 was the most magical football year I ever had. Welcome to Sacksonville.

I experienced winning for the first time since my first year as a fan. 2007. It took 10 years of being miserable for me to experience winning and BOY was it great. The way they dominated the Steelers with him getting an interception, and the December win hosting the Seahawks, pretty much locking up a playoff spot, it was great. I remember the slightest chance they had week 17 maybe hosting the Buffalo Bills in the playoffs. I have a high school teammate and a buddy who was a rookie that year for the Bills, the Shnow Man LT Dion Dawkins. I told my dad, Please please please … lets go to Florida January 7 2018 to watch Dion play the Jags if it happens. It took a miracle of the Bengals beating the Ravens in the most unlikely fashion, for the Bills to sneak in. I ran home. My dad said yes. I was going to Jacksonville in a win win to see my favorite team play my friend in an NFL playoff game.

I couldn’t have had a better trip. And I will never forget Jalen Ramsey securing the win with an interception in the last minute. Thank you Jalen. I wont ramble much longer, but thank you Jalen for showing me the excitement of professional football. If Thursday night is the end, it was one heck of a ride. You will always be top 2, but you aint #2! You deserve better. *Friday morning update* After that Jags win … this is going to be hard because I have hope its salvageable …

#11 Michigan +3 at #13 Wisconsin – Michigan has to be due right? Like all of America is waiting for that signature win I think and I am scared about that. Michigan is 0-2 ATS this year and I don’t know, it just feels like a good spot for them. Harbaugh doesn’t beat ranked teams and they are due to cover! Michigan was not able to stop the run against Army so why do I think they can slow down Jonathan Taylor? I will say they learned from their mistakes. I think this has the potential to be the game of the week! Michigan 24 Wisconsin 23

Tennessee +14 at #9 Florida – Tennessee stinks this season but Florida doesn’t have Felipe Franks. Franks is an up and down and is the most polarizing quarterback in college. While I have never heard of their backup, and he could be a stud, 14 points is a lot for conference play. Tennessee is pretty bad, but they have talent and a decent QB. I think they can keep it close. Florida 30 Tennessee 20

Coastal Carolina -16.5 at UMass – Coastal! Coastal was a school I nearly went to! They aren’t known for their football team, but UMass is. UMass is the worst D1 school in America for football. They just don’t compete with teams, but I respect their effort! Coastal has a good run attack and think they will control the line of scrimmage. I think its wise to fade UMass till they cover a spread. Coastal 35 UMass 14

Lions +6.5 at Eagles – What is the Lions identity? Their defense has looked pretty sharp which is surprising to me, and their offense has been slower. But that offense has Kerryon and Babytron. The Eagles are coming off a disappointing game at the Atlanta Falcons and need to find their groove. I don’t see a team that flat lighting up the Lions in a 6 day stretch especially with all these injuries. I mean, the Eagles did have a walkthrough on Wednesday cause they are so hurt. Giants +6.5 at Bucs – Daniel Jones SZN! Eli was elite but his time is done and the team must be energized! Not because Jones will be better then Eli, but it’s a youth movement! The Bucs defense has been great so far this season, but I think Jones and Saquon can find their holes. The Bucs are also led by turnover prone Jameis Winston, and that offense hasn’t clicked fully. The Bucs should go 2-1 but I don’t see the Bucs dominating anyone. Bucs 27 Giants 23

Steelers +7 at 49ers – For the first two weeks I rode with the Niners. This team is good and a legit playoff team. Yes, the Steelers lost future HOF Big Ben, and will start unproven Mason Rudolph. But there seems to be a lot of trust in this dudes ability. Back Up QB Dobbs was recently traded to the Jaguars, and the Steelers traded a future First for Minkah Fitzpatrick. They clearly don’t think they will be a bottom 10 team. I like the Black and Yellow’s chances to hang around. 49ers 25 Steelers 20
